Good to know
The questions we’re asked most often. Can’t see yours? Give us a call — we’re happy to help.
Pains such as tired aching feet, heel pain, bunions, metatarsalgia (pain in the balls of the feet), calluses and hammer toes can result from faulty joint alignment and altered biomechanics. If the pain is worse or brought on by standing, walking or running, orthotics will help realign the joints and reduce symptoms.
For many people, knee, leg, hip and back pain is the result of poor foot function — leading to imbalance in posture and misalignment of the joints and muscular system. An orthotic helps realign these structures and reduce stress on the joints, leading to a reduction in symptoms.
Yes. We make two types of orthotic — Casual and Slimline — and you can run, train and play sport in both. The Casual is an everyday fit for trainers, work shoes and boots; the Slimline is a slimmer fit that also works in dressier, narrower gents’ and ladies’ shoes.
Our customised orthotics come with a three-year guarantee. We recommend getting them checked every few years, or sooner if something substantial has changed — for example surgery that could alter your biomechanics, such as a knee or hip replacement. They probably won’t have changed — but it’s likely you will have. Adjustments and alterations are simple and quick, so your old orthotics can make you feel like a new you.
Yes. We know how fast children grow, so children’s orthotics are half the price of adult orthotics, up to the age of 16.
