Clinical responsibility for biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescription. You will carry out digital gait analysis and plantar pressure assessment, determine whether a custom functional foot orthosis is clinically appropriate, and specify the prescription for manufacture. Most assessment takes place at consumer events across the UK, where you are the senior clinical presence on site; between events you are based at our York office for consultations and patient review.

• Degree in biomechanics, prosthetics and orthotics, or a closely related clinical discipline. MSc or HCPC registration preferred.
• Ability to assess and prescribe independently from the outset, with a solid grounding in gait and lower-limb function.
• Comfortable explaining clinical reasoning to patients in a public-facing setting.
• Full UK driving licence — the role requires driving company vans to event sites.
• Able to attend 3–4 events monthly during season, including outdoor shows in all weather. Accommodation provided; TOIL for weekends and bank holidays.

Freelance, event-based · February to November

Supporting our clinical team at live events across the UK. You will help patients through the assessment process, prepare and manage equipment on the stand, and handle the practical running of a busy event day alongside the practitioner leading it.

• Strong communication skills and a confident, friendly manner with the public.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at weekends during the event season.
• Previous customer-facing experience helpful but not essential — full support and training provided on the day.
